Democrats To Move On Amnesty Within Month

Are you ready for a potentially bigger, uglier battle than the one over health care reform? According to Senator Scott Brown (R-MA), who spoke with Barack Obama today, it’s coming within the month.

Democrats, eager to create a new voting block since they’ve been unable to hold on the current ones, are apparently going to move towards granting illegal aliens amnesty within the month.

Why would they do this? Like I said, they hope to succeed and create a new voting block of millions. It’s a step towards a permanent Democratic majority.

At the same time, Americans will want to know why Democrats are concentrating on amnesty for illegal aliens when the deficit is sky-high, foreclosures are occurring at a record rate, and unemployment remains at 9.7%. It shows Democrats to be out-of-touch with ordinary Americans concerned with, oh, having a house next month.

But if Democrats succeed, they may not care. They’ll have a new voting block, consisting of many millions of voters, to keep electing them in pursuit of new entitlement programs and higher deficits. They can’t win with current voters so Democrats need new ones.

The question is where Blue Dogs will fall. Are House Democrats, already struggling to keep their seats, willing to vote for amnesty for illegal aliens? How about senators in tough, red state re-election campaigns? Like, say, Blanche Lincoln? Stay tuned.
