Dick Leinenkugel, a Republican businessman and former Commerce Secretary for Wisconsin, has announced that he will challenge Senator Russ Feingold (D-WI) in November.

He joins two other Republicans who are seeking the party’s nomination for US Senate.

Leinenkugel is a former U.S. Marine and has extensive experience in the private sector. He has worked across party lines before, serving eighteen months in the administration of Governor Jim Doyle (D).
