I’m honestly looking forward to this. What’s the Venezuelan dictator’s 140-character thoughts on capitalism? Barack Obama’s job performance? The latest Justin Bieber news? And then there’s the potential for direct communication. Think of the responses he’ll generate from the anti-Chavez community, all ending up in his messages stream. Comedy gold.
Interesting fact: In January Chavez said using the internet, specifically Twitter, to criticize his regime amounted to terrorism. Is it just criticism of his own government that amounts to terrorism? Or will this man the American left admires so refrain from criticizing other governments online, so as to avoid engaging in terrorist activity?
By the way, Diosdado Cabello, a top propagandist for the Chavez regime, predicts his beloved leader will break records for the number of followers. What happens if that prediction doesn’t come true? I eagerly await the news that Twitter has had to delete phony accounts created to inflate his follower count. Because then the dictatorial pettiness circle will be complete.
