You know how we’re supposed to keep an eye on those radical, dangerous conservative activists for their anti-big government rhetoric? What are we to do with these anti-Bush, anti-war folks actually trying to car bomb Times Square? I’m thinking internment camps ala World War II.
BRIDGEPORT, Conn. — A real estate broker says the Times Square bombing suspect told him years ago he disliked President George W. Bush and the Iraq war.
Igor Djuric (JOOR-itch) represented Faisal Shahzad (FY’-sul shah-ZAHD’) when he was buying a home in 2004. Djuric says he could not remember the exact words but said Shahzad made clear he didn’t like Bush or his policy in Iraq. He says the comments were not hateful, but he was surprised to hear them because they hardly knew each other.
Djuric says Shahzad also asked him if he was Muslim.
Let’s imagine for a moment that a white, anti-government individual was caught trying to car bomb Times Square. And then, just days later, it was discovered that he expressed his anti-Obama and anti-health care reform positions years ago. Oh, and he asked someone he bought a home from if the seller is Christian. Take all of that in for a moment.
Can you even imagine the outrage and non-stop coverage such a back-story would receive from the mainstream media? It would be non-stop analysis of those violent right-wingers, never mind the slamming of Glenn Beck and Rush Limbaugh for cranking up the uncivil rhetoric.
But the perpetrator was an anti-Bush, anti-war Muslim so we shouldn’t draw any connections or jump to any conclusions. We need to wait a few weeks…or years in order to avoid the possibility of something that someone somewhere may find bigoted in some way, shape, or form.

[...] morning that this terrorist is “anti-Bush” and “anti-War.” See – here – as well. What would the media do if this terrorist was a “right-wing nutjob” [...]
