We were told earlier that Times Square car bomb suspect Faisal Shahza was on a flight to Dubai when the plane was turned around and he was taken into custody by federal authorities. But now the airline says he was actually headed to Pakistan via Dubai.

Shahza is a native of Pakistan, becoming a naturalized American citizen just last year. After his arrest he admitted to authorities that he had spent time in Pakistan recently, training to build bombs at a terror camp in Waziristan. Apparently he felt safe returning to his home country after (as far as he was planning) killing scores of Americans in New York City.
