Not a euphemism.
The 2010 UK general election will end with no party holding an absolute majority, leaving a hung parliament in the midst of a continuing global recession.
What happens next? Prime Minister Gordon Brown (Labour) will likely attempt to form a coalition government with Nick Clegg (Liberal Democrat) in what is already being called a “coalition of the losers”.
They would form a leftist government to compete against David Cameron (Conservative), who leads the party with the largest number of seats. Cameron needed 326 seats to hold a majority. He will not reach that threshold.
