There are no tears in my eyes this morning over the deaths of pro-jihadist activists who attempted to break through the Israeli anti-terror blockade. The Israelis were entirely justified in their actions and the pro-jihadists deserved their fate.
Forget for a moment that the flotilla ships belong to a terrorist group lead by a notorious Al Qaeda associate. Let’s put that important yet unsurprising fact aside for the time being.
Watch the video. When the Israeli commandos quite peacefully attempt to stop the pro-jihadist activists, their peaceful behavior is met with blows to the head as the activists brutally beat the commandos. One commando was even thrown over the side, falling 30 feet and being knocked unconscious.
These activists were not modern incarnations of the Tienanmen Square. They weren’t standing before a tank so as to make a statement about liberty and democracy. They weren’t peacefully protesting a set of policies they considered unacceptable.
They were/are apologists for Islamic terrorism who set out to instigate the Israelis who want nothing more than to protect their country from said Islamic terrorism. When the Israeli commandos began a peaceful police action, the activists responded by brutally attacking and trying to kill the commandos.
So there’s no one crying in this household. The Israelis were justified and the pro-jihadist activists deserved their fate. If that sounds uncompassionate, tough. It’s true.
