Video: Bill Clinton Goes After The Unions?

by Stephan Tawney on June 7, 2010

Pardon my skepticism that this will mean anything substantive moving forward. Sure Clinton has had the fortitude to go after unions in the past (think NAFTA) but the two sides seem to reconcile shortly after and return to pushing the far-left agenda. So it’s more of an argument within the family than all-out war between ideologies.

As for Lincoln, I have no sympathy for her “bucking the party line” bullcrap. She voted for ObamaCare, and the only thing stopping her from backing card check and other far-left legislation is her ongoing struggle for re-election. If she wins, you can count on her backing just about everything the White House and Democratic party leadership push for the next five years.

She’s attempting to look like a free thinking moderate in a red state. Unfortunately, her record tells a different story. She’s a leftist tempered by nothing more than threats to her current re-election chances.
