World Soccer Update: Portugal Beats North Korea 7-0

by Stephan Tawney on June 21, 2010

A 7-o victory for Portugal is particularly remarkable considering most of the scores from the World Cup have been tied or in the low digits. The fact that the victory was against the team from the world’s most secretive regime makes it all the more interesting.

One has to wonder how the propaganda machine in North Korea will handle such a big loss. The machine has even claimed that Kim Jong-il (seen here) is a global fashion icon. I seriously doubt it’ll honestly report the game’s fine score.

So what will it be? A new, made-up score or just a complete avoidance of the game’s outcome?
