President Barack Obama, who has never served a day in the military, has fired four-star General Stanley McChrystal for criticizing the White House in a Rolling Stone article.

Update: Both the Associated Press and Fox News report that McChrystal has indeed been terminated. Boy, he really hurt Obama’s feelings, huh? I thought a Chicago community organizer would have tougher skin.

Update X2: I have to give The Messiah credit for replacing McChrystal with Petraeus, though the sudden respect for the latter is highly…nuanced considering the left’s virulent hatred of the general when he was saying the war in Iraq could be won. As I recall, MoveOn.org even ran an advertisement calling him a traitor.
