Police Now Enforcing Sharia Law in Michigan

In case you don’t know, sharia is the fundamentalist legal system of Islam. It prescribes unthinkable treatment for “crimes” as seemingly accepted as converting to other religions. In fact, proselytizing to Muslims — that is, informing them of another religious option — is illegal under sharia.

Not a big threat here in the United States, right? I mean, it’s not like our political correctness has reached such a culturally suicidal level as to permit the enforcement of sharia in the land of the free. Or has it? Dearborn police arrested four Christian missionaries on Friday for “disorderly conduct”:

Police in the heavily Arab Detroit suburb of Dearborn say they arrested four Christian missionaries for disorderly conduct at an Arab cultural festival.

Police Chief Ron Haddad says his department made the arrests Friday. The four are free on bond.

As the video at the link shows, the “disorderly conduct” consisted of the Christians handing out free copies of the Gospel of John to individuals outside of the festival. They were arrested, and at one point were ordered to stop filming the detention.

Basically, they were arrested for proselytizing to Muslims — sharia law was being enforced — and the police attempted to prevent that fact from getting the public’s attention. How absolutely despicable.
