The worst part? Bloomberg actually defends her. Here’s what happened:

Sarah Palin took to Twitter to appeal to “peace-seeking Muslims”. She said the mosque being built at Ground Zero, lead by an Imam who has said that the United States deserved the 9/11 attacks, is an unnecessary provocation that emotionally hurts people who were affected by the attacks.

Andrea Batista Schlesinger, a lefty who now serves as a policy aide to Mayor Michael Bloomberg, responded as only a PC lefty would: By accusing Sarah Palin of being racist. Yes, really. Apparently opposing a 13-story mosque’s construction at Ground Zero is racist.

“Mind your business,” Schlesinger wrote, followed a moment later with, “Whose hearts? Racist hearts?”

Nearly 3,000 innocent people of all races were murdered by Islamic terrorists on September 11, 2001. Now a terror-backing Imam who believes we deserved the attacks is building a massive mosque at Ground Zero. The politically correct crowd accepts the inevitable monument to Islamic terrorism in order to avoid offending extremists.

And those who oppose this obscene slap to the face? They must be racist.
