Shoved From The Top: Racist USDA Worker Forced Out By Obama

by Stephan Tawney on July 20, 2010

Shirley Sherrod, the racist member of the NAACP who had to resign in disgrace from the Agriculture Department yesterday, says the White House shoved her out personally.

Video surfaced this week of Sherrod, then an employee of the USDA, admitting to an NAACP gathering that she treated a white farmer different simply because he was white. She said she had trouble helping a white man save his land when black people had lost theirs. Sherrod did as little as necessary to fulfill her job duties and then passed the farmer on to a white lawyer — “one of his own”.

Secretary of Agriculture Tom Vilsack released a statement regarding the incident, attempting to temper down controversy. That seems to lend credibility to the claim that Sherrod was pushed out from the top.

  1. R.B.Ashworth Says:

Your Headline is totally inaccurate and misleading.
Obama had NOTHING to do w/Ms. Sherrod being requested
to resign. Get the facts before you spread such malicious
    rumors and false statements.

Um…no. Just because you find it inconvenient doesn’t mean it’s inaccurate. From the article:

“Shirley Sherrod says she was forced to step down by the White House”

Who do you think runs the White House, Jerry the Janitor? Even Gibbs feels the need to apologize now.
