House Minority Leader John Boehner (R-OH) wants the Obama Administration to change its economic leadership in the wake of 9.5% unemployment and a weakening economy. In a speech on the economy, Boehner called for the resignations of Treasury Secretary Tim “Tax Cheat” Geithner and Larry Summers:
President Obama should ask for – and accept – the resignations of Secretary Geithner and Larry Summers.
It’s actually a good idea. I mean, it’s not like Summers and Geithner have succeeded in even their most basic economic goals. Unemployment is floating around the double-digit mark and federal spending is out-of-control. Unless their plan was to still have the economy in the dumper in August 2010, they’ve failed.
