Results are now starting to come in from Florida’s primary election.
7:53 PM: Meek leads Greene in Senate race, Scott holding small lead over McCollum for governor (13% reporting: Scott 46, McCollum 44).
7:58 PM: It looks like we can say “adios” to whacko Congressman Alan Grayson (D-FL), best known for coming out in favor of mandatory vacations after riding the teacups ride at Disney World. And calling Republicans murderous Nazis.
Daniel Webster will be the Republican nominee in Grayson’s Florida’s 8th district — a strong candidate in a leaning-GOP district.
8:04 PM: CNN projects that Marco Rubio is the Florida Republican nominee for U.S. Senate, Alex Sink is the Democratic nominee for governor in the Sunshine State. Not a surprise on either count.
8:11 PM: I should mention that ALL polls are now closed in Florida, including those in the panhandle.
8:19 PM: Kendrick Meek wins the Democratic Party’s nomination for U.S. Senate in Florida.
