Can you imagine if we replaced Rick Sanchez of CNN with, say, Glenn Beck or Bill O’Reilly of FOX News in this story? The media’s outrage be epic, the left’s outrage even more so. Instead you’ll hear almost nothing about it, and anything you do hear will be light reprimand or full-out excuse. Guaranteed.

Why? Because Rick Sanchez is a member of the left, and therefore he is almost always immune from charges of racism (with rare exceptions like Hillary or Bill Clinton when the former was challenging Obama for the nomination). It’s become accepted by the media that leftists can’t be racist, even when they’re using terms like “cotton-picking” to refer to a black man.
