Awesome: Bush Now Leads Obama In Ohio

by Stephan Tawney on August 31, 2010

Yes, that Bush. As in the forty-third president. And he doesn’t just hold a small lead, either. We’re talking eight percentage points, and that’s in a swing state that went for Obama just two years ago. Epic fail, Democrats, epic fail.

We’ll start rolling out our Ohio poll results tomorrow but there’s one finding on the poll that pretty much sums it up: by a 50-42 margin voters there say they’d rather have George W. Bush in the White House right now than Barack Obama.

Independents hold that view by a 44-37 margin and there are more Democrats who would take Bush back (11%) than there are Republicans who think Obama’s preferable (3%.)

You know the sad part? Bush has basically disappeared from the political scene, so he hasn’t exactly gone about repairing his image. That means Obama’s image has dropped so significantly that Bush looks significantly better by comparison.

Ohio voters look at both Obama and Bush and decide that they’d prefer Bush. Not because Bush is good but rather because Obama is that bad.

November should be fun.
