Murkowski Concedes Alaska Senate Race

Incumbent Senator Lisa Murkowski (R-AK) has admitted defeat in the race for the Republican nomination for United States Senate in Alaska. Murkowski said, “For the good of the state of Alaska, I am conceding the race for senator.”

Hopefully that means she won’t launch a third-party or write-in candidacy against Joe Miller. It may just be that she has more dignity than Florida Governor Charlie Crist, who abandoned the GOP and announced his independent bid after polls showed him losing to conservative Marco Rubio.
