Democrats Release First Ad Against O’Donnell — And It’s Hypocritical

by Stephan Tawney on September 19, 2010

The Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee, the campaign arm of the Democratic National Committee responsible for promoting far-leftist candidates for Senate, has released its first ad against Christine O’Donnell in Delaware. And it’s entirely pathetic and hypocritical.

We don’t know a lot about Christine O’Donnell. But here’s what we do know.

She’ll fit right in, in Washington.

O’Donnell spends money she doesn’t have. Hired employees she didn’t pay. Stiffed businesses. Didn’t pay her taxes.

One of Christine O’Donnell’s former employees summed it up: “We were constantly trying to hold her back from spending. She was financially completely irresponsible.”

The Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee is responsible for the content of this advertising.

I’ve had problems with O’Donnell’s past, too, but come on: No arm of the Democratic Party is in any position to launch this criticisms against an outsider conservative candidate.

Who controls Washington? Oh, right, Democrats in the White House and Democrats in Congress. They spend money they don’t have, stiff American businesses, notoriously fail to pay their taxes, and wouldn’t know financial discipline if it hit them in the face.

So instead of sending O’Donnell to Washington, we should send the Nancy Pelosi-Barack Obama rubber stamper Chris Coons? The same Chris Coons who supports massive government measures we can’t afford? The same Chris Coons that once admitted to being a “bearded Marxist”? That’s like wishing you had cancer instead of the flu.
