Egyptian State-Run Media Outlet Photoshops Mubarak In Lead of Peace Talk Pack

by Stephan Tawney on September 20, 2010

Egyptian state-run media outlet Al-Ahram evidently thought Hosni Mubarak, the Egyptian president, didn’t look important enough in an official photo released by the White House showing Middle Eastern leaders entering peace talks.

So the state agency decided to Photoshop the image, moving Mubarak to the front of the pack — in front of leaders from Israel, Palestine, Jordan, and even Barack Obama himself.

Unfortunately, the image clearly clashed with the official White House photograph, and even then it looked altered. Officials for Al-Ahram had no comment.
