The national left-wing media is outraged over the fact that Maine GOP gubernatorial candidate Paul LePage doesn’t like Obama and would tell him as much. Scandal!
News of the punch comment comes on the heels of a video posted online Tuesday showing LePage telling a crowd that, if elected, they can expect to see newspaper headlines declaring “Governor LePage tells Obama to go to hell.”
In an interview with The Associated Press, LePage said he regretted his choice of words but wasn’t backing down in his criticism of the Obama administration for what he describes as free-spending, antibusiness policies.
“Am I politically correct all the time? No. Maybe it’s time to have people say bluntly what’s going on,” LePage said Wednesday. “The fact of the matter is that I haven’t learned how to speak out of both sides of my mouth yet.”
Sixty-five percent of Americans believe Obama has effectively told them to go to hell since taking office. But let’s get outraged because a gubernatorial candidate in Maine says he’ll throw the brush-off right back at the Messiah. Outrage-y outrage!
This is becoming pathetic, folks. The national left-wing media is so desperate for a Republican “scandal”, in the hopes it will help the Democratic Party’s failed candidates, that they’re willing to turn non-events into breaking scandalous news.
Newsflash, lefty media: Americans don’t care that Paul LePage uses bad words like “hell” or that he’d insult Barack Obama. They care that we have 9.6% unemployment, a stagnant economy, and record deficits. And the fact that you think Americans will consider this “scandalous” demonstrates how out of touch you are with middle America.
Update: Here’s a link to LePage’s campaign website. He could use some assistance in fighting back the left-wing media that seeks to cover for the failed policies of Barack Obama and Nancy Pelosi.
