Congressman Mike Castle (R-DE) will accept the outcome of the 2010 Republican primary for United States Senate, rather than taking the sore loser route and launching a write-in bid.

Jamie Dupree reports:

Castle: “I do not believe that seeking office in this manner is in the best interest of all Delawareans”

The only question now is whether Castle will endorse Christine O’Donnell, the Republican nominee, or pull a Dede Scozzafava and back the liberal Democrat out of spite.

A third option is staying out of the race entirely, letting what happens happen. He would avoid throwing support to either political opponent. Come to think of it, that seems like the most likely course.
