We’re going to win back the House of Representatives. Nate Silver of FiveThirtyEight finds Republicans with a 75% chance of doing as much — a percentage that has continued to grow over time. As long as conservatives actually show up on election day (mark your calender!) we’ll do fine there.
Where we’re facing problems is over in the Senate, where the races have been tightening and some of our candidates are in trouble once again. With that in mind, I fully agree with Jim Geraghty that we need to begin concentrating our fundraising efforts on Senate candidates.
Here are candidates who need your financial support NOW. With the midterms just two weeks away, every minute counts. So please don’t hesitate to give whatever you can to support these viable conservative challengers:
- Joe Miller (Alaska)
- Sharron Angle (Nevada)
- Pat Toomey (Pennsylvania)
- Ken Buck (Colorado)
- John Raese (West Virginia)
- Dino Rossi (Washington)
- Carly Fiorina (California)
- Ron Johnson (Wisconsin)
- Mark Kirk (Illinois)
- Rand Paul (Kentucky)
Level one priorities are Miller, Angle, Toomey, Buck, Raese, Johnson, Kirk, and Paul.
Level two priorities are Rossi and Fiorina.
Christine O’Donnell has millions of dollars but has yet to run effective attack ads against Coons. She’ll receive plenty of financial support from talk radio and the web. Funding isn’t her issue; it’s electoral support. By all means, get out and vote for her. But money isn’t what she needs right now.
Linda McMahon has the ability to self-fund, which is great. That frees up money to be spent elsewhere. So I wouldn’t worry terribly about her race.
