Unemployment in Las Vegas hit a record-high 15% during the month of September. Unemplyment in the state overall stagnated during the same period.
Employment dropped in just about every private sector industry, though sectors like hospitality and construction were hit the worst. A total of 4,600 private sector jobs were shed during the month.
