Back in October of 2009, Alan Grayon’s outrageous comments were drawing fire from even his Democratic colleagues. (Grayson had referred to a top American economist as a “whore”.) Representative Anthony Weiner (D-NY) had the following to say about his colleague:

“Is this news to you that this guy’s one fry short of a Happy Meal?” asked Rep. Anthony Weiner (D-N.Y.)

If you missed that quite obvious point, Weiner was calling Grayson crazy. And you couldn’t blame him. Grayson is the guy who decided to push for mandatory vacations for 300 million people after riding the Tea Cups ride at Disney World. The man is loony.

Well, now Democratic control of the House of Representatives is in severe danger. One seat likely to change hands is that currently occupied by, you guessed it, Alan Grayson. Facing that prospect, Anthony Weiner has suddenly changed his tone.

Now we’re told that a loss for Grayson loss means a loss for America. Apparently America wins if a man Weiner himself has called crazy is elected to the U.S. House of Representatives. That’s some twisted logic.
