Fight! Rhode Island Democrat Says Obama Can “Shove” Endorsement

by Stephan Tawney on October 25, 2010

Yeesh. And the media tells us Republicans are the ones in a state of civil war.

PROVIDENCE, R.I. — Rhode Island gubernatorial candidate Frank Caprio, in a radio interview Monday morning, reacted angrily to President Obama’s decision not to endorse him during a visit to the Ocean State Monday.

“He can take his endorsement and really shove it as far as I’m concerned,” Caprio told talk-show host John DePetro during an interview on WPRO-AM.

Why isn’t Obama endorsing Caprio? Because he’s running against Lincoln Chafee, the former Republican senator who was notorious for standing for nothing republican. Oh, and Chafee endorsed Obama in 2008. So it’s a bit of a reward for the squish.
