The election scandal in Nevada grows bigger.

First we learned that voting machines in Clark County were, at least in some instances, selecting Harry Reid’s name regardless of whether the voter intended to vote for him. Then we learned that the technicians running the voting machines are members of the pro-Reid mega-union SEIU.

And as if that wasn’t enough, now we’re told that Harry Reid is offering free food at get out the vote (GOTV) events while unions are offering gift cards to individuals who cast their ballots for Reid. They’re effectively bribing people in these tough times to re-elect the incumbent.

Two days ago, the Democratic Secretary of State announced that voters can be provided “free food” at “voter turnout events.” Harry Reid has been offering free food and, according to other reports, some Democratic allies such as teachers’ unions are offering gift cards in return for a vote for Reid.

The Secretary of State, a Democrat as mentioned above, has arbitrarily decided that there’s “nothing to see here” and that all is well with this corruption. As if bribing voters is just fine and dandy. Well, guess what? It’s not. It’s a felony under Nevada law.

What Harry Reid is doing is clearly illegal. Nevada law (NRS 293.700) provides that, “A person who bribes, offers to bribe, or use and other corrupt means, directly or indirectly, to influence any elector in giving his or her vote or to deter the elector from giving it is guilty of a category D felony and shall be punished as provided in NRS 193.130.”

Harry Reid and his allies will do whatever it takes to stay in power, even if it means full-out stealing the election.
