Earlier today we heard reports from Clark County, Nevada, that voting machines were automatically selecting Harry Reid’s name whether voters intended to vote for him or not. It was a worrying sign of voter fraud but nothing too widespread.
Now the news gets more troubling. It turns out that voting machine technicians in Clark County are members of the SEIU — the same mega-union that has spent hundreds of thousands of dollars in an effort to defeat Reid’s opponent, Sharron Angle. Almost all of the SEIU’s 2010 political donations have gone to Democrats. It’s a politically partisan organization.
So the question is, why is an anti-Sharron Angle organization charged with running the voting machines in the race between Angle and Reid? And is that related to the fact that the machines are reportedly selecting Reid’s name automatically for voters?
