Obama Mumbai Trip Will Cost Taxpayers $200 Million — PER DAY

by Stephan Tawney on November 2, 2010

President Barack Obama’s post-election Asia trip will be costly for American taxpayers. In fact, his stay in Mumbai alone will rack up costs of $200 million — per day.

According to the report, Obama will bring about three thousand individuals with him on the trip. That doesn’t only include the ordinary Secret Service detail but staffers, journalists, and I’m sure some unnecessary individuals who are taking advantage of a free trip on the taxpayer’s dime.

The Obama Administration has reserved an entire five-story hotel, as well as several hundred hotel rooms in other five-star hotels, in Mumbai.

    This is disgusting!!!!!!!
There is no reason for this type of irresponsible spending of the taxpayers money.
I am not sure which planet the people who made this decision just dropped in from, but this is not the time for spending the hard earned monies of the people in this manner.
