Just one day after Senator-elect Mark Kirk (R-Ill) defeated Alexi Giannoulias in the midterm election, the two men sat down for a mini beer summit and shared thoughts. Kirk says Giannoulias also gave him a copy of the book The Wisdom of Abraham Lincoln.

It should be noted that Senator-elect Kirk will be sworn-in before the coming lameduck session, as the race was a special election.
