Earlier today I wrote:
If he’s too proud to publicly apologize for violating NBC’s ethics code, wouldn’t that indicate he’s too proud to come groveling back just so he can go back on the air? I say NBC either buckles or Olbermann walks.
Olbermann will be back on the air Tuesday. NBC has buckled
.
After several days of deliberation and discussion, I have determined that suspending Keith through and including Monday night’s program is an appropriate punishment for his violation of our policy. We look forward to having him back on the air Tuesday night.
So for violating the terms of his contract and then refusing to apologize, Olbermann was off the air for what, two nights? Mediaite:
That seems like an amazingly short amount of time for what was called an ‘indefinite’ suspension.
Like I said, NBC buckled.
