Her office isn’t saying.
When asked who paid for it, Nadeam Elshami, a spokesman for the California Democrat, declined to reveal who was footing the bill.
“No taxpayer funds or lobbyist money paid for the meeting,” Elshami said in an email to POLITICO.
When pressed further, Elshami said “No taxpayer or lobbyist. What more do you want?”
Maybe an answer? If no taxpayer or lobbyist funds paid for the meeting then why be so coy? Why refuse to provide any detailed information to the public? Obviously there’s some concern about the funding source, considering Pelosi’s known lack of restraint with taxpayer money and the presence of “advocacy groups” at the meeting.
