I question how much attention Cher actually pays to the news, however. Jay Leno had to inform her that Sarah Palin has a reality show on TLC. I’m pretty sure there are long-lost tribes in the Amazon that know about Sarah Palin’s Alaska by now. Unless I’m missing something and she’s being sarcastic, but that’s not what I got from her reaction.

I also question the wisdom of insulting wide swaths of the American public while on national television to promote one’s new movie. Most Americans may not belong to the Tea Party but even many Democrats sympathize with its agenda (smaller government, fiscal responsibility) — the same agenda that apparently makes the movement “f*cking nuts”.
