Another GA Democrat Becomes a Republican

Democrats have lost yet another state official in Georgia. On Monday, State Senator Bubber Epps became the eighth state lawmaker since the midterm election to switch from the Democratic to Republican party.

There are 180 seats in the Georgia House. Republicans control 113 of them, Democrats hold 64, there are two Indies, and two more seats are open. 120 seats are needed to have a supermajority.
