Omnibus Spending Bill Costs $1.1 Trillion, Funding for ObamaCare

by Stephan Tawney on December 14, 2010

Republicans better hold the line against this monstrosity. If they’re not willing to vote against a $1.1 trillion, pork-laden, ObamaCare-funding bill, exactly what are they willing to vote against?

And no, this isn’t about continuing the functions of government. You could do that with a short-term, significantly less expensive version. The government doesn’t need to spend $1.1 trillion in order to keep operating past this weekend.

This is about getting as much pork appropriated as possible before January. It’s about ramming through one last tax-and-spend hurrah. It must be defeated.
