The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has voted 3-2 to grant itself the power to regulate the internet. The White House-backed measure was approved along party lines, with all three Democrats on the commission voting to expand the bureaucracy’s power.
Liberals who support the power grab refer to the idea as “net neutrality”. In reality, it moves more power into the hands of the federal government. “Net neutrality” is another Orwellian phrase liberals use to disguise the actual result of their big government policies.
Incoming Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) says the House will work to, “reverse this unnecessary and harmful federal government power grab next year.” Good for him. Hopefully Senate Republicans will find a backbone and support his efforts.
