A Republican congressman calls the president a “liar” for lying and he’s publicly censured by the House of Representatives. A Democratic lawmaker says the president should go “f*ck” himself and it’s just a sign of contention between the White House and Congress. The frustration with President Barack Obama over his tax cut compromise was palpable [...]

I haven’t seen this much left-wing fail since election night. First, Democrats controlling the House of Representatives vote to raise taxes and cut unemployment benefits — all in the name of stopping tax cut extensions for businessmen and investors. Next, the DREAM Act — amnesty intended to produce millions of new voters for the Democratic [...]

It fell 57-40. Sixty votes are needed to invoke cloture, so it was three votes short. Among the “no” votes: Brown of Massachusetts, Kirk of Illinois, Manchin of West Virginia, Snowe of Maine, and Murkowksi of Alaska. So it looks like Democrats managed to draw over Susan Collins of Maine, who broke the “no legislation [...]

Apparently Collins thought there was a deal between herself and Democrats to vote for “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” repeal with some kind of condition. Then Harry Reid took to the floor and screwed her over, announcing there was no deal and that he would bring the legislation up for a vote immediately — her discussions [...]

I’m not sure I’m buying it. In fact, I’m pretty sure it’s bull. Which isn’t to say RA Greene at CNN is lying, just that I don’t trust Democrats to put it to rest. They’d rather grant amnesty to millions of illegal aliens, including criminal adults, than work on tax cut extensions and budgets.

House Democrats have voted to kill the tax compromise worked out between President Barack Obama, conservative Democrats, and Republicans — instead seeking to raise taxes on businessmen and investors in the middle of a deep recession. This brings up a few problems, none of which are good politically for Democrats. First of all, Republicans aren’t [...]

The road to hell is paved with good intentions. Except I don’t believe for a second that Democratic intentions were good when they passed ObamaCare. I’m sure we’ll find there’s a government-based solution Democrats just happen to have on hand to “fix” this problem. In an unintended consequence of the new health care law, drug [...]

More than fifty percent of Americans say they’re worse off now than they were when Barack Obama entered office, a new poll from Bloomberg finds. Additionally, two-thirds say the country is headed in the wrong direction. Fifty-one percent of Americans say their situation has deteriorated since the last days of the Bush Administration. Just thirty-five [...]

Do you suppose this is what Obama meant when he promised “hope and change”? About one in seven Americans relying on government assistance to feed their family every night? Some 42.9 million people collected food stamps last month, up 1.2% from the prior month and 16.2% higher than the same time a year ago, according [...]

Oh boy. I smell outrageous outragey outrage building amongst his base, and who could blame them? You put the man in office, you pump your money into his campaign, you build him up as a messianic figure, and then he dumps you for the prettier girl at the dance: The American taxpayer. “I know that [...]
