Michael Steele: War and Peace. (He then said, oddly, “It was the best of times, it was the worst of times” — which is, of course, from A Tale of Two Cities.)

This tells me one of two things: He was bullcrapping when he said War and Peace was his favorite book, or he last read his “favorite book” long ago enough that he can easily confuse its contents with those of A Tale of Two Cities. Either way, fail.
