Obama Phones GOP-Blaming Sheriff Dupnik to Thank Him

by Stephan Tawney on January 11, 2011

Like I said in my last post, Obama likes to talk loftily about how we Americans (read: Republicans) need to tone down the rhetoric (read: Anti-Obama rhetoric), but he’s just fine with vitriolic rhetoric that’s politically beneficial.

This is the same Sheriff Dupnik who was blaming Republicans for the Tucscon shooting before the bodies were even room temperature. He decided that Rush Limbaugh and Tea Partiers were totally responsible for the actions of an individual we’ve since learned is an atheist, anti-war 9/11 Truther who likes The Communist Manifesto and thinks Bush committed war crimes.

He’s a Democrat and apparent hack who was attacking Republicans and Republican positions long before this shooting. He’s just using the tragedy to further his anti-GOP front, engaging in the same vitriolic rhetoric he accuses Republicans of using.

And now Barack Obama, who is apparently set to lecture us on turning down the heated rhetoric, has called Dupnik to thank him for his efforts. Go figure.
