It’s said that she may not be replaced either, considering the fact that her agenda is effectively DOA in the new House of Representatives. And there’s certainly a case to be made for that. I mean, why waste time on something that’s DOA when you could push agenda items that may attract squish votes?

But, and this is a big but, can he afford to be seen by his liberal activist base as having abandoned his push for bigger government in the name of stopping global warming? That could certainly piss them off, demotivate them.

Or what it motivate them? Want to restart the push for global warming alarmism? Get out and vote in 2012. Replace the GOP in Congress and keep Obama in the White House. Failing to vote, or — worse — voting for those evil Republicans, will kill environmentalism forever. And then polar bears will cry and the Earth blowup. Or something.
