Citing a high risk of terror attacks, the U.S. State Department has issued a travel alert for the United Kingdom.

The alert advises American tourists to stay vigilant while traveling through England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland.

It is also suggested that Americans register with the United States embassy prior to or upon arrival in the UK.
