Libyan Intervention Costs $600 Million — In First Week Alone

The first week alone of the Libyan intervention has cost taxpayers at least $600 million — a figure that includes cruise missile launches costing around $269 million.

Unless the intervention ends quickly — and now there are talks of the intervention lasting months — the administration will likely request additional funding from Congress. That would be the same Congress that Obama didn’t bother asking for permission before launching operations.
