KARACHI, PAKISTAN (BNO NEWS) -- Pakistan's Criminal Investigation Department (CID) on Monday captured the 'most wanted criminal' in Karachi, officials said.
Ajmal Pahari, alleged to be involved in over 100 murder cases, was arrested by the CID's anti-terrorism department, which also seized a large cache of arms, including hand grenades, automatic rifles, and explosive materials during the operation, Pakistan's the Express Tribune reported.
Karachi Superintendent Police CID Chaudhary Aslam described Pahari as the most wanted criminal in the city.
In 2000, Pahari was arrested for his alleged involvement in 53 murders, but he was released five years later. Following his arrest, authorities are now alleging that since his release, he has committed 58 killings.
