Introducing the Sticky Note Campaign

by Stephan Tawney on April 28, 2011

I like activities like this. It’s reminding people of who’s overseeing these skyrocketing gas and food prices that’s going to make reelection very difficult for Barack Obama.

Here’s how it works: You find or buy a sticky note pad. Plain ones are best, in my opinion, because you don’t want one with identifying remarks that make this personal or will otherwise turn people off from your message.

Anyway. You’ve got your sticky note pad. Write on it an appropriate message relating to the item you’re posting it onto. So if you’re placing it on a fuel pump, try something like:

How’s that hope and change working out for you?

or

Full of hope and change with an empty tank.

You get the idea. Something that connects Barack Obama’s failed policies to rising fuel prices — an accurate connection, by the way.

Nothing threatening. Nothing personal. Nothing vile or nasty. Nothing attacking the president outside of his failed policies. Nothing about birth certificates or religion. Anything like that will turn Indies and ordinary Democrats off to the message about failed policies. Keep it plain, simple, and polite.

Also, use common sense. This isn’t a military campaign, it’s a guerrilla politicking campaign. It’s not worth getting arrested or being thrown out of a store to communicate your message. If you’re told not to do it, don’t. Go somewhere else. Also, don’t screw up the place. One post-it note in an area that doesn’t interfere with normal operations.

Basically, don’t do anything stupid or illegal. Use your common sense.
