BIL'IN, WEST BANK (BNO NEWS) -- Two Palestinian children were injured on Thursday after Israeli troops invaded a village in the central West Bank, Palestine News Network reported.
According to local sources, Israeli troops stormed the village of Bil'in and searched homes. The two children were injured after the troops fired tear gas, sound bombs and rubber-coated steel bullets.
Nshma Abu Rahma, 15, was hit in his leg, while Jamal al-Khateeb was hit with a bullet in his face. Both were moved to Ramallah city hospital for treatment.
The village of Bil'in, near Ramallah, has been holding weekly protests against the Israeli wall for the past six years. In 2009, the Israeli High Court of Justice ruled in favor of the villagers and ordered the Israeli army to reroute the wall giving villagers half of land Israel took to build the wall. The army still refuses to implement the court order.
