YOGYAKARTA, INDONESIA (BNO NEWS) -- A small aircraft crashed in Indonesia's Java island during a training mission, killing two people, officials said Thursday.
On Thursday afternoon, the trainer aircraft lost control at around 3:45 p.m. local time, and crashed on a sugar cane plantation area near Adisutjipto airbase in Wotgaleh village, Berbah subdistrict, Sleman district, Yogyakarta.
Berbah Police Chief Adjunct Commissioner I Made Muliawan told Antara news agency that the two casualties were transported to the Harjo Lukito Air Force Hospital, but they had not been identified. However, authorities believe they could be the aircraft's two crew members - pilot and co-pilot.
