The Obama Administration has decided to ban a credentialed reporter from the press pool after she dared to videotape an anti-Obama protest that took place at an Obama fundraiser.
The reporter, Carla Marinucci of the San Francisco Chronicle, used a personal video camera to record the protest for a news story. After all, anti-Obama protests at an Obama fundraiser would appear to be news, and it’s expected that video exists in this day and age.
But the White House didn’t like that. See, it’s bad PR when just anyone can see that even fellow left-wingers disapprove of the Obama Administration. So the Obama Administration informed Marinucci that she’s no longer welcome in the press pool covering the president.
But worse yet, some reporters allege that the White House threatened retaliation if the story of Marinucci’s punishment went public. Most transparent administration ever? Not by a long shot.
