Because they tended to vote Republican, you see. And Republicans by and large reject the calls for a massive government response to unsettled science on global warming. And Think Progress — a project of Obama’s favorite think tank, Center for American Progress — has decided that the storms were due to your SUV and my light bulbs. Ergo, they had it coming.

One problem with this theory: Actual experts at the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) reject the view that these tornadoes were due to global warming. But let’s not have that get in the way of Think Progress‘ interesting, terribly disturbing theory. They’re leftists, and as we know that automatically makes them smart. Or something.
