Video: Absent Change, Medicare to End in 2024

Medicare trustees have testified before the House of Representatives that, absent changes to the program, Medicare as we know it will end by 2024. Read that again: Unless we change Medicare, the program as we know it will end.

Why? Because payments can only be made from the trust funds. And without the revenue there — and it won’t be — significant cuts will automatically be made. The cuts would end Medicare as we know it, the trustees confirm.
