Very troublesome.

A conservative group called Empower Texans has discovered not only its main Twitter account shut down, but also the accounts of every single employee of the group. All of them gone. Without explanation. Without warning.

Only Twitter itself can shutdown accounts. So either the company automatically did so because of too many “spam” claims (which would indicate an abuse-able problem in their system), or employees at Twitter purposefully shut down the accounts.

Twitter recently hosted an infomercial town hall for President Obama. The questions were largely softballs and Jack, the company’s founder, would’ve had to work harder to kiss more of Obama’s butt. And now conservative accounts are just disappearing.

Troublesome indeed.
